Just Another Draining Day

As I have mentioned, I am an utterly butterfly busy week.  Unfortunately, not socially but due to college commitment.

On Tuesday, I had a deadline to meet and Alhamdullilah, I met that deadline excellently and I found out that I got a HD- (High Distinction) on one of my assignment!  Weehee.  Then, on Wednesday I had a presentation, early in the morning whereby Mr. Bene credited us on a great presentation…So hopefully, a Distinction is in my hands for that presentation!  And now, a final hurdle for our final assignment submission for the semester that is due tomorrow (or shall I say, later today, at 330pm?)

Batman picked me up at around 1230noon and we headed straight to Friendster Cafe and Damansara Perdana to do a final hurdle on this assignment.  We met up with my twin, Juli here too.  Another one of our classmate joined us soon after dinner.  I only had my first meal of the day at 830pm and that too, I had no appetite to eat.  We were up to an extent whereby we are ready to pay someone to do our assignment.  So I made some calls and a good friend of mine, Jazzy (and not to mention the Bf, too!) came here to our rescue and guided us.  Thanks babe!  We appreciated your help!

As of now, it is already 1am and we are still here.

Some of my family members called as they are in town for my uncle’s wedding reception on Saturday.  I had to decline yet another dinner invitation with the clan due to college commitment.  I think I am only able to see all of them only at the day of the reception itself.

Sigh.

It’s been utterly a long week, but I am not complaining.  I just need a good cuppa coffee as of now.

My Batman Re-Appeared

Updates!

So what’s new with me?

As usual, I’ve been SUPER busy with college life and next week, the WHOLE “E. Family” are coming for my Dear Uncle’s wedding (for the bride-to-be’s side). My ticket for KK reception is still pending, but looking at the current circumstances, I might not be able to go as my finals starts in 2 weeks time! :( I’ve not been able to attend weddings in the past few years due to conflicts of schedule. I’m excited that they’re coming next week, though. At least, I get to see them more than once a year for 2008!

And oh, I’ve a fringe now. But due to non-outings, no new pictures have been posted. I look younger now, I may say! I was ID in Chili’s because I was sitting at the smoking area! Omg. First time in my adult years to be ID at Chili’s! So ya..I’d post new pictures soon!

As of late, I’ve been happy with my latest gadget. I am currently using a HP Pavillion Tablet PC. It’s superb. Unfortunately, as much as I am a gadget addict, I’ve not been exploring it much as I’ve only been using it for assignments. My friends were telling me that they wonder why I even get the latest tech in town when I hardly use its latest technology, i.e. the touchscreen and the fingerprint safety thingy. Haha. I keep on telling them, “nanti lah…I explore tu!” Currently, I’m eying the new HTC PDA which seemed more interesting than my old Dopod PDA. Hurm….

And a touch on the personal life, a name that will be appearing much in my blog would be, Batman. Lol. Don’t ask why Batman. But hey, precautions needed to be taken as we are trying to keep things in the down low. But thank God for Batman’s presence. He’s been nothing but great & I am happy. And my friends; those that had met him, LOVES him! Which is great. Not that I’m asking for their approval or what, but I am happy that they get along great.

On a different note….

Something intriguing had happened last night. Due to my non-connection to the internet as of late (I am yet to get my new 3G card for my new laptop), I have to go to places with wireless to meet deadlines.

So, last night…as I was meeting my weekly deadlines, I mingled around with those that I had run into at the same place as me when I told the Batman that I was already leaving.

Out of nowhere, I greeted an unfamiliar face; WingMan, only to find that he went up to 1st floor with a mission. He told me, “I’m on the line with Batman. He asked me to come and find you. He wants to speak to you.”

I was shocked. “Uh-oh” I said to myself.

When I took the phone, Batman was laughing at the other side and said, “So..what do you think of my eye?”  Bloody Batman was just teasing me as WingMan was coincidently at the same place and pulling my past stalkers’ & my dad’s stunts.

I only managed to grind my teeth and said, “Gimme 1/2 hour and I’ll talk to you later okay?”

This is just one of many occasions where Batman never fail to amuse me.
And this is whyyyy he never fail to crave a smile on my face.

Grrr~

So with that,
Here I am on a Saturday, meeting next week’s deadlines & presentation & updating you on my life.

Have a great weekend, all!

Queen of the Nights

KUALA LUMPUR: If the idea of owning a tulip as black as charcoal makes your green thumbs tingle, then head to Sungai Wang Plaza’s concourse area this Saturday.

There, you can tiptoe through 200 stalks of this rare flower, which can be purchased at RM50 per stalk, all in the name of charity.

Known as the “Queen of the Night”, the black tulip makes its debut in Malaysia on the eve of Mother’s Day thanks to Air France KLM.

Flown in especially from the Netherlands, the 200 black tulips will stand alongside 3,000 assorted-coloured tulips, all of which will be up for sale from 11am till 1pm.

Dubbed the “KLM Charity Tulip Sale”, the project hopes to raise funds for Hospis Malaysia, a palliative care centre in Cheras.

Though the black tulip is making its first appearance this year, the Tulip Sale started a decade ago. Since then, it has helped scores of seriously ill, handicapped and poor children improve their lives.

Air France KLM country manager for Malaysia Estee Ng said: “We decided to bring in the black tulip this year in conjunction with the airline’s 50th celebrations.”

She added that the black tulip has a life span of up to two weeks.

“Instead of putting them in water, black tulips, like all tulips, thrive in ice,” she said.
